Today, I’m sharing Zodiac Block Print press plate cards each with different Technique & process. The colours used for each card are inspired by the birthstones of the months for loved ones I have with those Zodaic signs. The first card uses the Aries plate. It is hot foiled first on black cardstock with black foil before negative foiling on hammermill cardstock. both are ink blended with Summer garden interference ink. There is much better contrast on the negative foiled image. They are die cut using the perfect touch labels dies and assembled onto the card front. Stickles are used on the constellation in the background of all cards to add sparkle and texture.
The next two card use the Libra plate. They are foiled and solid hot foiled with Opal foil on Hammermill cardstock and inked with Kitsch Flamingo distress ink. One is trimmed simply with a guillotine trimmer before assembling and then other is die cut using the Emerald cut labels & tags die set before assembling
The Gemini plat is used on the next card. It is created with the betterpress system using Gold embossin for the image. The bacground is inked with Natural pearl ink and the Arch Punch & pierce die set is used for the card base as well as the Pearl cardstock arch framing the image.
The Virgo plate is used for the last card. It is created using Black memento ink on Hammermill using the Betterpress system. The image and matte is die cut using the Mirrored Arch dies. Both Pieces are inked with Sapphire gold inteference ink for bright colour and shimmer.
