Before creating any cards, the Dorothy & the Witches press plates, the Tin man, Scarecrow and Lion press plates as well as the Wonder of Oz Sentiments plates were used to Heat emboss the images & sentiments before die cutting. The images were then Watercoloured using Distress watercolor crayons from set 6, 3 and 1.
The fir card background is created using the Wonder of Oz frame & tag set with Betterpress cardstock and no ink before ink blending the background with distress inks. A pair of Ruby slippers were created using Glitter cardstock from the Ruby Treasured cardstock pack with dies from the Special Toast die set. The card is finished off with a sentiment Heat embossed in Pumice stone distress glaze.
The second card has a very simple ink blended background using distress inks before adding the Glinda and Wicked Witch watercoloured images. The card is finished off with a sentiment on the front of the card as well as inside.
The third card uses the Field of Poppies embossing folder for the background. Hammermill cardstock is taped inside the Embossing folder and Brushed Corduroy ink is rubbed on the opposite side before embossing. That step is repeated untill desired ink coverage is reached. The raised poppies are lightly ink blended with Candied Apple distress ink before assembling the card and adding the Lion & Sentiment.
The fourth card also uses the Field of Poppies Embossing folder for the background. It is embossed plain and then ink blended around the edges with Brushed corduroy distress ink before assembling the card and adding the Scarecrow and sentiment.
The background for the fifth card is created the same way as the third card except the embossing folder is inked using Mowed Lawn distress ink. This card is finished with the Tinman watercoloured image as well as a sentiment.
The sixth card is created using the Wonder of Oz Silhouettes die set. It is die cut from Raven cardstock. The card background is lightly ink blended with Distress ink before adding the Silhouette die cut and sentiment.
