Today, I’m sharing Wildflowers collection cards using the Lisa Horton Wildflowers collection from Spellbinders. This is such a fantastic collection to create with and would also pair very well with Lisa’s previous Floral die and press plate collection with Spellbinders. I had SO much fun created in ended up with 8 cards! Ad

Before Creating any cards, the Press plates were used in the Glimmer system with Aura Glimmer foil and Hammermill cardstock. A solid hot foil plate was also used to Negative foil each image as well to use in the cards. Then the Butterfly Silhouete Registration press plate set was used with Opal blush interference inks to colour the Foiled butterflies and to create more butterflies using the Betterpress system with Black Betterpress ink and Porcelain betterpress cardstock. The Betterpressed butterflies were coloured with Opal blush interference ink.
The first card is created with the Betterpress Registration Butterfly on the Splatter foiled background. The second uses the Foiled Butterflies along with the Script press plate foiled and Negative foiled pieces. They are die cut with the Scallop & Stitched edge ovals die set. The Foiled Butterflies were coloured with Black soot distress ink and Opal Blush interference ink before being die cut. Glisten stickles were used to add texture and sparkle to the dots on the edge of the butterfly wings.

The third card is created with the Negative foiled butterfly and Love sentiments. The subsentiments were created with black ink in the betterpress system before being die cut. The background was created with the inked Script press plate embossed in the Platinum 6 machine using the stacking for embossing a die cut.
The next 3 card were created using the Layered Wildflowers die set. The background for the daisy and Bachelor button were created with the Splatters press plate set. The background for the poppy card in the centre is the Negative foiled splatter that is cut with the Scallop and stitched oval die set. The scallop around it is the Script foiled background leftover from card 2 and cut with the large scallop oval die.

The last 2 card were created with the Layered Gladiolas die set. The seventh card uses the leftover script foiled background to create a frame and other layered oval die cuts behind the die cut gladiolas. The flowers were cut from white cardstock and inked with Hickory smoke distress ink and then inked with interference inks in Fruit Salad, Summer garden and Sweet treat before assembling.

The last card used the Gladiolas die set with coloured cardstock for the flowers. They are inked lightly with interference inks for some shimmer. The background is created with the Splatters press plate set pressed several different times in different areas with Opal blush interference ink.
The last 5 cards were finished off with Sentiments and sub sentients from the Very best wishes sentiments stamp & die set and the Sentimen smiles sentiments stamp & die set.
