Whale in a Bottle die set Cards

Whale in a Bottle die set Cards

In this video, I’m using the Whale in a Bottle die set to create 3 cards. The first is the whale in a jar and then I get a little creative by using other die sets to deorate the bottle card shape. Ad

I loved the Whale in a bottle die set as soon as I first saw it. It was a part of Spellbinders Large die of the month club for June 2023. I recently ordered it and for my first card I created a shaped card with a clear overlay. I used cardstock scraps to die cut a lot of the different pieces for the card and glued it together with Bearly art glue in a fine tipped bottle. I ink blended some distress ink on a few different areas to add the look of dimension. I used the whale die from the Spellbinders advent calendar to make it appear like a mama & baby whale. For all 3 of the card bases, I used 2 solid die cuts of the bottle outline die and scored one of them at 5″ around where the cork is on the top of the bottle and glued it to the other white piece. I added a touch of stickles to the top of the wave and water drops for some sparkle.

For the Second and the Third card, I decided to get creative with the card base by using different dies to decorate it. I used the Floral Stems die set for the Daisy card, and the Brilliant Butterflies die set for the Butterfly shaker card. Distress inks of different colours were used to add shading and colour to both card bases and the daisy stems & leaves. To create the Shaker part for the Butterfly card, 4 die cuts of the bottle outline were glued on top of each other to create the dimension for the butterfly die cuts and shaker bits.
