Today, I’m creating Unique Fairytale Cards using the New Storytelling collection from Spellbinders. This collection is perfect for Scrapbooking or Mixed Media projects but I’ll be using a few dies from the collection to create cards with a whimsicle/fairytale feel. Ad
I love the result of the first card created with the Storytelling Collection from Spellbinders. I created a Tri-fold card and used the Tunnel scapes die set to create openings in the layers to be able to peek at what was inside. On the inside of the card, I put the Castle from the Castle tales die set and on the front I put the Fairytale Carriage. On the inside fold, I used my Misti to stamp “New Day, New Adventure” from the Typewriter Adventures Sentiment stamp set.
For the Second Card, I used the Dancin’ Fairy Twinkle for the main fairy element and added the Magic die cut sentiment at the bottom. The Layers were create with the Perfect Touch Rectangle die set. The top layer was stencilled with clouds using Speckled Egg distress ink, an ink blending brush and a stencil created using the Tunnelscapes die set. The Dancin Fairy Twinkle has swinging legs because of a mechanism that swings on a foam pop dot.
The third & fourth card card uses the Stitched Petal Blooms die set with Paper Roses inky colour papers to create 2 fun and whimsical cards with stitched dimension. The “tree” card also uses the Starshine Background die for extra texture.
