Today, I’m sharing Unique Backgrounds with Metallic ink Pads from Lisa Horton Crafts. These are 12 new Metallic ink pads resulting in fantastic shine. I’m using 4 of them togther ink this video along with the New Composition set C -Chevrons and Blooms die set.

Before creating any cards, I created distress style backgrounds using the Metallic ink pads in Lovestruck, Titanium, Coastline & Verdigris on Black & White Mixed media Heavystock. I love the completely different looks these inks create on the white cardstock versus the black cardstock. Once those backgrounds were dry, they were die with the Compositions die set to create the card elements. Black & White cardstock were also die cut to ink and compliment the backgrounds.
The first card uses the distress background for the outer frame and floral die cuts. Black cardstock was used for the inner frame and pieces under the florals. The pices under the florals were inked with Titanium & Coastline and the inner black background was splattered with all of the ink pads to create an interesting splatter background.
The second card uses the Black cardstock outer frame with the White cardstick inner piece. The white piece was inked with Titanum & Verdigris ink and splattered with water. The florals are die cut from the distress background and leaves from the black cardstock. The leaves were inked with the Verdigris ink before assembling the card.
The third card uses the distress background for the outer frame & florals and the black distress background for the inner piece beneath the florals. The florals & Leaves were inked with Lovestuck & Verdigris ink lightly as to not cover up the visual texture from the Distress background.
The fourth card uses the White cardstock outer frame inked with Lovestruck ink and the White distress background for the inner part. the elements beneath the florals were created in the same way. The florals were finished with some stickles in the centres for a bit of added sparkle and some stickle dots were also added in areas to the background.
