Today, I’m sharing Two Unique Northern Lights Backgrounds featuring Polar Pals from Pajama Crafter stamps. These backgrounds are created in two completely different ways creating the perfect background beind the Polar bear & Seal. The second card is also a Luminary card! Ad
Visual Supply list below.
The first card is created with a stamped and heat embossed sentiment in Silver before ink blanding the background. The background is then created using Distress inks in Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot as well as interference inks in Pink Champagne, Summer Garden and Lavender Fields on Hammermill cardstock before lightly misting with a mighty mister to blend the inks together. While the background is drying, The Images from the Polar pals stamp set are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink before colouring with Cool grey copic markers in various shades. The images are fussy cut with detail scissors. The snow is a 1 1/2″ strip of Hammermill cardstock lightly ink blended with chipped sapphire and then the Natural Pearl pad is swiped across for extra shimmer. Once assembled a little extra shine and sparkle are added with Glossy accents on the Noses and Stickles along the horizon and below the Bear & Seal.

The second card card is created using Alcohol ink in Glacier, Limeade, Gumball and Purple Twilight on clear Duralar. The alcohol inks are blended with isopropyl alcohol and an Alcohol ink blower tool. The background is then set aside to dry and the Images and snow are created in the same way as the first card. Once dry, scor tape is added to the alcohol ink background. That background is then scored and attached to the card back. The snow layer is added to the adhesive on the bottom of the card before adding Transparent microfine glitter. The glitter is then burnished and the Bear and seal are added and finished with Glossy accents and Stickles.
