Two easy Dye ink techniques

Today, I’m collaborating with Altenew to share Two easy Dye ink techniques using Altenew dies & inks. I love how versatile dye based inks are and these are two of my favourite ways to use them with dies and die cuts! Visual Supply list below.

Both Cards are created using the Mini Flower Cluster and Simple Greetings die sets with Deco Garden Fresh Dye mini inks.

The first card uses detailed ink blending brushes with the Fresh dye to colour each die cut layer for the flowers. I used my Altenew sticky mat to help hold the die cuts while ink blending. The die cuts are layerd together and assembled using liquid glue before adding to the A2 card bases. THe upper layer for my card was cut to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and the matte layer was cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″ The matte was coloured with the Navy fresh dye ink to coordinate with the die cuts.

The second card uses the dies to cut watercolor cardstock. The fresh dye inks are watercoloured onto the die cuts and allowed to dry completely before assembling. The matte layers for this card are cut to the same dimensions as the first card with the Pool ink used to color the Matte layer for this card.
