Today, I’m sharing Trellis Flowers Custom cards using Lisa Horton Matte blending inks. I wanted to customize the layout of the flowers from the Trellis embossing folder & layer stencil. After embossing & ink blending, I fussy cut the flowers to lay them out exactly as I wished. Ad

Before creating either one of the cards, I embossed and Ink blended the flowers using Hammermill cardstock and Cloud 9 matt blending inks. I kept the inks darker towards the centres of the flowers & base of leaves and lighter towards the outer edges. Once they were created, I fussy cut the flowers using detail cutting scissors. Because of the larger size of the flowers, I ended up creating one card as a 5″ x 7″ and the other is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Both cards use the padded quilt embossing folder for the background. That embossed background is lightly ink blended around the edges.
The cardstock for the Hugs sentiment was ink blended as an ombre before being die cut with the Tall & Skinny alphabet die set. Additional die cuts were created to glue on top of each other to add extra dimension.

The second card uses the A little Hello Sentiment die & stamp set. The sub sentiments were stamped using a Misti before being die cut. Stickles were added as dots to the centres of the flowers as well as over the ink blended sentiments on the cards for extra sparkle & texture.
