THREE Background Die Techniques

Today, I’m sharing THREE Background Die Techniques using the NEW Lenten Rose Background die set from Crafty Meraki. These are 3 of my favourite techniques for backgrounds that have great Shimmer and Sparkle to them! Ad

Visual Supply list below

The first Card uses the Lenten Rose background die set with Cardstock and double sided tape. The tape is put onto the cardstock before using the die set to cut the image throught the tape backing. reverse tweezer are used to remove the tape backing from the inner parts of the background die. Microfine glitter is put over the exposed tape. Copics and a copic blender pen are used to colour the image. The remaining tape backing is removed from the image outline and a black cardstock die cut of that background is added to that exposed tape. A sentiment is added to all cards taken from the Gilded Greetings shimmer paper and die cut from the Gilded Greetings die set.

The Second card uses the Lenten rose die set to cut black cardstock twice. One of those background die cuts are glued onto white cardstock before being coloured with interference ink pads using detail blending brushes. Once done, the other background die cut is glued on top. Stickles are added to the flower centres and left to dry. The background is die cut using the Timeless frames die set and framed with Timeless frames die cuts.

The third card starts similarly to the second card but the black and white cardstock is watercolor cardstock. Magicals pigment powders are added into the different areas of the die cut background and misted liberally with water and left to dry completely. Once dry another Lenten rose die cut is glued on top and stickles are added to the flower centres.
