Sweet as Pie Card

Sweet as Pie Card

In this video, I’m creating a Sweet as Pie Card. When playing with the new Spotlight Frames and Floral collection from Spellbinders and Lisa Horton Crafts, I thought the lattice insert for the Stitched Circles die set looked like the top of a pie and thought it would make a fun and unique card. Ad

The Pie Die cut for this card was created using the Stitched Edge Circle die set for both the brown pie crust, the outer Circle as well as the “berry” part of the pie. The Berrry part of the pie was created by cutting a Circle of yupo cardstock. Alcohol Ink was used to colour the circle as well as the scrap piece of yupo to die cut the Card Sentiment from the Be Bold Uppercase and Lowercase die sets. The “crust” of the pie was die cut from light brown cardstock, In blended with Walnut stain distress ink and then Rock candy glitter was added using Collage medium and a Glitter Duster. The berry part of the pie was covered with Glossy accents and then left to partially dry before adding the top part of the pie die cut. The scrip part of the sentiment was created by stamping the letters individually from the Perfectly penned stamp set just before the card was assembled to the card base using Bearly Art Glue.
