In this video I’m creating Stunning 3D Embossing Folder Cards using the New Spellbinders Sealed 3D Botanicals collection. I love the amazing detail in these images and they can be coloured using many different techniques to create beautiful Cards & tags. Ad
The first two cards use sprays on Distress watercolor cardstock as a base before Embossing the Cardsock. The first card set uses Distress Mica Sprays that add a beautiful Pearly shine and the second card set uses regular Distress sprays.
The first card set uses a Black Distress ink pad to colour the back of the Floral for You 3D Embossed image. I then used detail ink blending brushes with distress ink pads to add some extra colour and shading to the images. The Essential arches die set coordinates with this Embosing folder and is used to create the mattes for the cards and tags.
The Second card set uses the Mushrooms from Me to You 3D Embossing folder with the Watercolor Cardstock coloured with Distress Sprays. The Background for this card was coloured with Chipped Sapphire Distress ink and detail ink blending brushes were also used with distress pads on this set to add colour and dimension. I used the New Scallop Labels & tag die set to create the mattes when assembling this set.
Card 3 & 4 use the Floral for you 3D Embossed images on Distress watercolour paper. Card 3 uses Distress watercolor Pencils and for Card 4 I used Inka Gold in Several different colours for a Beautiful Metallic finish before assembling them using Mats created with the Essential Arches die set. I added Stickles in the centres of the flowers and Glimmer foiled sentiments from the You are Everything Sentiments set as well as the Curved Everyday Sentiments.
Cards 5 & 6 use the Mushrooms from Me to You 3D Embossing folder with Black Watercolor paper. Card 5 is coloured with the same Inka Gold colours as Card 4 but was applied with fingers instead of a waterbrush for a Heavier look. Yellow Green inka gold was also used on the Leafy Helix embossed background before assembling the Card. Card 6 uses Cloud 9 interference inks with detail ink blending brushes to colour the embossed image as well as the mats die cuts using the Scallop Labels & Tags die set.
