Simple & Elegant Beveled Sentiment Embossed Cards

Simple & Elegant Beveled Sentiment Embossed Cards

Today, I’m creating Simple & Elegant Beveled Sentiment Embossed Cards with the New Beveled Sentiments collection from Spellbinders. These embossed backgrounds let you keep your cards very simple or you can use them with more involved Embossing folder techniques. Ad

The first 2 cards are created with very simple techniques just tweaked a little bit for the second one. The First card uses the Beveled Hello Embossing folder with Bearly Peach cardstock. After embossing through my Spellbinders Platinum 6 Machine, I added Ombre ink blending with a Large ink blending brush using Distress ink pads in Saltwater Taffy, Abandoned Coral and Crackling Campfire. Using the Altenew Ultra sticky mat helped the cardstock stay in place as I was ink blending. The card is finished with a simple friend die cut sentiment over the O.

The second card uses the Beveled A Gift for you Embossing folder and also uses the same Bearly peach cardstock and Distress ink colours. This time the cardstock is taped to the Embossing folder and the Saltwater Taffy ink is applied to the Embossing folder before running it back through the Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. This step is repeated until the ink has built up to create a more solid colour on the background. The next colour is added to the Embossing folder but only inked about 2/3 of the way up and a Brayer is used to soften the edges. Again this step is repeated until the colour on the embossed piece is not blotchy. Finally the same is done with the Cracklink campfire pad but only going 1/3 of the way up and using the brayer to soften the ink edges. Once assembled the card is finished off with the same die cut friend sentiment as the first card.

The third card uses the Beveled Thanks embossing folder with a piece of Printed paper from the Bayfair paper pad. After being taped to the embossing folder a black memento pad is used to ink the folder and colour the backgound. After repeating that step till the back is nice and solid, Light ink blending is done to the bottom of the letters to add interest. A Beautiful die cut sentiment is added to the centre of the card a well as floral die cuts.

The fourth card uses Beveled Happy Birthday Embossing folder with Abandoned coral distress ink on the background. After this step is repeated a few times, Embossing powder tool is used over the surface. The Tiny prints background stamp is inked up with versamark ink and then gold embossing powder is applied and heat embossed. The letters are lightly ink blended for added interest and the card is finished off with gift die cuts from the Delivering Joy sleigh die set. The ribbons and bows are die cut from gold cardstocks with different finishes from the Gold Treasured cardstock pack.
