I love the versatility of the Propagation Garden Collection from Spellbinders Paper Arts. In this video, I’m creating 3 different cards using the collection. I have 2 previous videos using the Laboratory Glassware with a Chemistry and Vintage light theme, so there are really SO many different ways you can use this fantastic NEW collection! Ad
I love how well the different pieces of the Propegation Garden Collection work together.
For my first card, I’m using The Tropical Leaves press plate & die set in my Betterpress system on watercolor paper and watercoloring with Karin Markers. Once they were dry, I cut out the leaves with the co-ordinating dies using my Spellbinders Platinum 6. I used the Leafy Helix Embossing folder with white cardstock to add texture to my background. I assembled onto my card base using Bearly art glue and finished off the card with a Propegation Garden sentiment stamped with coordinating distress ink before die-cutting with the coordinating die and adding to the card front.
For the Second Card I used the straight wood dies from the Propagation Frames die set to cut out some greige cardstock pieces and inked with distress ink before assembling on the background. The plant pieces were cut out of Cardstock scraps using the propegated plants die set. The laboratory glass beakers were cut out of Dura-lar to look like glass and coloured with alcohol ink to add the coloured tint. The beakers were finished off with Glossy accents. Once dry, I inked the plants with distress ink before assembling using glossy accents and adding to the card background. The Propegation Garden sentiment was stamped onto the same cardstock colour used to create the background with versamark ink and Embossed with Scortched Timber distress glaze before being lightly inked and added to the card front.
For the Third Card, I used the Dies from the Propegation Frames die set to create the stand for the plant vases. The vases were created at the same time as the beakers from card 2. Texture was added to the card background using the Leafy Helix Embossing folder with Aqua cardstock that was lightly inked around the edges with distress ink to frame it. The Propagated plants were die cut at the same time as card 2 and inked with distress ink to add dimension. The card was finished off with a Propagation Garden sentiment cut out with one of the coordinating dies that is lightly inked before adding to the card front.
