Press plate & Die cut Cards

Today, I’m sharing Press plate & Die cut Cards using the New Classic Pooh Collection from Spellbinders & Simple Stories. This collection is perfect for cards for Kids and would also be great for creating scrapbook layouts! Ad

Visual Supply List below.

The first two cards were created using the Friendly Moments press plates on Distress watercolor cardstock. Both images were coloured using Distress watercolor pencils set 2 & 6. The mattes on the first card were created using a Tim holtz deckle trimmer. The frame on the second card was created with the Memory frames die set. Sentiments for all cards were created using the Silly Old Beat sentiments on Distress watercolor cardstock before die cutting with the coordinating die set.

The third card uses the Pooh & friends die set as well as the Pooh’s Alphabet, Numbers & more die set to die cut the Friends sentiment out of different colours of cardstock. The silhouette & matte were die cut from Onyx cardstock. The background behind the silhouette is Abandoned Coral, Stormy sSky & Chipped Sapphire distress ink blended onto Hammermill cardstock.

The fourth card uses the Tigger & Eeyore die set. The pieces for Eeyore were die cut from Lunar Gray and Graphite cardstock. The background was ink blended with Bundled Sage, Stormy Sky & Chipped Sapphire on Hammermill cardstock. To finish off this card, I used Glossy accents on Eeyore’s eyes as well as the butterfly body and some stickles on the butterfly wings for a bit of sparkle.

The fifth card uses the Pooh & Piglet die set. Pooh is die cut out of Beesax cardstock and the edges were ink blended with Fossilized Amber Distress ink. The balloon was die cut out of Dahlia cardstock and ink blended with Abandoned Coral distress ink. The background was ink blended with the same colours as the Eeyore card but that ink is concentrated in the centre of the card fading out to the edges. Glossy accents was used on the balloon to add extra shine & dimension.

The sixth card uses the Pooh & Piglet die set as well as the Pooh’s Hunny pot die set. Pooh is die cut from beeswax cardstock in this card as well and ink blended the same as the previous card. The Honey pieces are die cut from Tuscan cardstock. The Hunny pots were die cut from Latte & portobello cardstock and ink blended with Gathered Twigs distress ink. The card background was embossed with the Bee-Cause 3D embossing folder and lightly ink blended around the edges with the Fossilized amber distress pad. Once assembled, Glossy accents were added to the Honey as well as Pooh’s eyes and nose for some extra shine & dimension.
