Press Plate Christmas Cards

Press Plate Christmas Cards

Today, I’m creating Press Plate Christmas Cards using the New Glad Tidings collection from Spellbinders & Simon Hurley. I love the different press plates in this collection and that many have coordinating dies that make it easy to layer and create Festive dimension. Ad

The First Card uses the Ornamental Betterpress Registration plates with Woodlands Betterpress ink for the greenery and Distress ink pads for the Ornaments. The Ornaments tops are inked with Versamark ink and Heat Embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. Once assembled the images are embellished with Silver Mix gems.

The Second Card uses the Santas sleigh press plate & die set. The Image is embossed with Black Embossing powder before being die cut and Watercolored with Distress refills. The other accents on the card are die cuts from Simons snowglobe, Snowman scene and Sealed Poinsettia stems. The background is embossed with the Sparkling snow Embossing folder for extra texture.

The Third Card uses the Nutcracker Trio press plate & die set. It’s Heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder before being coloured with Tombow markers and enhanced with Glossy accents and Stickles. The layers on the card base were created with the Nested Tree frames die set.
