Die Cut cards with Dimension

Die Cut cards with Dimension

I love creating Die cut cards with dimension in different and unique ways. In this video I’m using the Poinsettia Bloom Die set from Spellbinders and wanted to give it a little extra dimension. I am very pleased with the final result! Ad

This card uses the Poinsettia Bloom die set with Gold cardstock outlining the Glitter Poinsettia. The Glitter Poinsettia is created with Double sided adhesive put onto the cardstock before die cutting in the big shot. The cutting edge of the die gets put against the backing of the tape. We are trying to cut through the backing and outer edge, not through all the detail of the poinsettia. The tape backing is removed from the petals and centre of the Poinsettia and microfine glitter is put on the exposed adhesive before colouring with copic markers. The Gold outline die cut is put over the outside edges of the glittered and coloured die cut (after the tape backing is removed) with the help of parchment paper to control placement a bit at a time. The background of the card is embossed with the Holly & Foiliage 3D embossing folder.
