Todays video is a Side Step Card Tutorial. Side Step cards are a great way to create a 3 dimensional card that folds flat to mail. They can be decorated with either stamped images or die cuts(my favourite), and are perfect for practically ANY occasion. In this video I share a North pole inspired side step card.
Cutting and scoring measurements:
Card base 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” Place top left corner of the short side of the card base piece at the 2” mark. Place the trimmer blade at the 2” mark down the cutting track and cut a slit from the 2” mark down to 7 1/2” Place the long edge closest to the slit that was cut on the top of your score board and score at 4 1/4” from the card edge just to the slit that was cut. Turn your paper around so the opposite long edge is at the top of your score board. Score from the edge to the slit that was cut at the following increments: 2”, 4”, 5 1/4”, 6 1/2” and 7 1/2”
