More ways to use Every Occasion Floral alphabet press plates

Today, I’m using the New Every Occasion Floral alphabet press plates from Spellbinders to create notepad covers as well as a Z fold card. These plates are so versatile and can be used for many different techniques. In this video I’m using them with Lindys Magical powders, Distress watercolor crayons and interference pads. Ad

For the first project I’m using the New Every occasion Floral Alphabet Press plates from Spellbinders on the cover of a Gratitude Journal. I’m using a notebook from the Dollar store and creating an interesting background with Watercolor Cardstock and Lindys Magicals powders using an Emboss Resist. I am also using the Cosmos Backdrop plate from the January release. Once the background is dry, I pair it with coordinating cardstock for the full cover. This could also be customized by using one of the plates as a Monogram letter rather than the T with Thank you for the Gratitude journal.

The second Notebook uses the J with Just a Note with a smaller notebook combined with Distress watercolor cardstock and Distress watercolor pencils. I love how easy they were to use to colour the press plate creating a unique front for the notebook. The flowers in the J were coloured with a shimmer gel pen for a bit of sparkle.

To Create the Z Fold Card I used Floral Alpabet letters J, O and Y together becuase when combined with their sentiments, I loved the phrase they created. I created an ombre effect with the press plates using Black Soot distress ink, ink blending brushes and Cloud 9 ink pads in Crushed Velvet, Sweet Treat and Fruit Salad. The cloud 9 interference pads show up different on the black ink than they do on the white cardstock creating a beautiful effect with interference shimmer. I also used the Ink pads on black cardstock to create perfectly matching mats around the focal image. The flowers of each letter were finished with a shimmer gel pen and a dot of stickles. All projects were glued together with Bearly art glue and Sookwang double sided tape for a strong hold.
