Before creating any cards, I created a mixed media style background using distress inks on Mixed media Heavystock and Kraft Heavystock. I also added some Lisa Horton Solid gold ink to the background for a bit of metallic shimmer. I used the press plate sets to create die cut embellishments for the last 4 cards and used the Holding your Heart Sentiment press plate set to heat emboss sentiment with Gold embossing powder before die cutting.
The first card uses the Collaged Birds Registration press plate set with Distress inks and Lisa Horton Fools Gold & Love struck Metallic ink pads.
The second card uses the Feather Dream Registration press plate set with the Lisa Horton Coatline & Bronze Metallic ink pads. The Metallic pressed images add a great metallic shimmer to the mixed media background on kraft. The sentiment is ink blended with Gathered twigs distress ink before rubbing Coastline Metallic ink around it to frame it.
The third card uses the Mixed media style background with the Soaring 3D embossing folder to add great embossed texture. The gold ink pad is lightly over that embossed background. The Press plate die cut birds are used to add a focal point to the card.
The fourth card uses the remaining Mixed media style background on the Kraft heavystock. It is embosed with the Scribbled Letter embossing folder and inked with the Gathered twigs distres pad. The Feather pressed and die cut pieces are used to add a focal point to this card.
The fifth card, uses the Soaring 3D embossing folder with Raven cardstock before brushing the gold ink pad over that embossed background. This card is finished simply with the Bird press plate die cut pieces and one of the Heat embossed sentiments.
The sixth and final card uses the Scribbled letter embossing folder to emboss Blush cardstock. The embossed piece is inked with Gathered twigs ink and this card is finished off with the Feather pressed & die cut pieces and a sentiment.
