In this video I’m creating an Alcohol ink Lift card using an alcohol ink background. I used the Alcohol Ink Lift Pad with a stamp to lift some of the ink and turn it into TWO backgrounds to Create two Christmas Cards. I love the unique stamped image you get with this technique! Ad
The best part about the Technique used for this card is you get TWO cards with one technique! I started off by using Alcohol Inks in different Holiday colours to create a Background on Yupo paper. Once that Alcohol Ink background is done and Dried. I put that background into my Misti stamping tool and position the Merry Little Christmas sentiment stamp. The stamp is inked with ink from the Alcohol Lift ink pad and then stamped onto the Alcohol ink background first. That Yupo background gets taken out of the Misti and replaced with Glossy Alcohol ink cardstock. Paper towel is used to blot the alcohol lift ink off of the Yupo background several times before rubbing off the remainder of the lift ink to reveal the “ghost” sentiment. The cards can then be put together and are embellished with Christmas Greens die cuts as well as a small poinsettia die cut.
