Light up Birthday card

Light up Birthday card

Today, I’m creating a Light up Birthday card using the Fountain Wishes die set and the Pear Blossom Candle light. The candle light really makes the card as you press to turn the light on and blow to “extinguish” the light in the candle flame. It works like magic! Ad

Visual Supply list below.

For this card, the background was created first using the Tattered Stripes layer stencil set. Both layers were ink blended with Scattered straw distress ink. The first layer has Natural Pearl metallic ink from Lisa Horton Crafts ink blended over top of the distress ink. The second layer has Moon dust stickles glitter gel on top of the distress ink. The die cuts were assembled and Glossy accents and stickles are added to different areas for a little sparkle and shine.

Once the Stickles, Glossy accents and background are dry, The pieces are layed onto the striped background to position the die for the candle flame. That opening is cut, the push stamp is stamped onto the die cut and the blow stamp is stamped above the flame. The candle light device from pear blossom press is added to the back and the card is assembled using foam tape behind the striped background to accomodate for the bulk of the candle light device. The mechanism gives the card such a fun “wow” factor!
