I love the Snowy/Winter theme of the Let it Snow Collection. I created 3 cards with this collection and finished off all 3 cards with a die cut sentiment from the Handwritten Holiday sentiments die set.
For my First card, I covered a piece of Hammermill cardstock with Sookwang tape and cut through the tape backing with the Frozen flurries die set. Once i removed the background tape background, I covered the tape with Distress embossing Glaze in Uncharted Mariner, Speckled egg and Lost shadow before heat embossing. Once the background was heat embossed, I added microfine glitter to the snowflakes and also die cut some Matte silver cardstock with the Frozen flurries die to create silver snowflakes to add to the card and create more dimension. The silver snowflakes were finished off with Crystal mix gems for a little extra sparkle.
For the second card, I created an ink blended background with Cloud 9 matte blending inks in Garden Sage and Anthracite. I also Splattered some Summer Garden Cloud 9 interference ink on the background and did light ink blending around the background with that same pad for irridescent shimmer. The card is finished with silver snowflakes cut from the Layered snowflakes die set in different silver finishes as well as a warm wishes sentiment shadowed in vellum. The snowflake was finished off with some crystal mix gems.
The last card uses the Frozen flurries die to create an embossed background to go behind the die cut penguins from the Playful penguins die set. Before creating this card, I had put Simon Hurley Astro paste in Frost bite, Prom Queen, Clear Skies and Tropical tango onto Hammermill cardstock with Simon Hurley paste tools. Once dry those Astro paste papers were used to die cut elements for the Penguins as well as the sentiment. The penguin eyes were finished off with Glossy accents for some shine and crystal mix gems were added to the the die cut wreath for extra sparkle.
