Interference Dragon Cards

Today, I’m sharing Interference Dragon Cards using the Snap Dragon stamp set from Pink Ink Designs. I saw this stamp set at my local Scrapbook store and fell in love and just HAD to play with it using my favourite Interference pads! Ad

Visual Supply List below.

All of the cards create use the Snap Dragon stamp set from Pink Ink Designs. I created 4 of them because I wanted to watercolour them with Interference pads but just could decide on which colour to use! All of the cards are 5″ x 7″ and have the same layout for ease. I used watercolour cardstock to stamp & emboss the images. The first card is embossed with Gold EP, the second one uses Walnut stain Distress glaze and the 3rd & 4th were embossed with Silver embossing powder.

Before watercolouring with the Interference inks, I watercoloured White watercolour pencil on the dragon that is embossed on the Black watercolour cardstock and Black watercolour pencil on the Dragons embossed on the White watercolour cardstock. The first dragon is watercoloured with Charcoal Gold, the Second is watercoloured with Royal Truffle and the third & fourth card were watercoloured with Regal Grey. Glossy accents were used to add dots on different areas of the Dragons for scaley texture. The background & flowers on the black were watercoloured with the interference pads. The sky on the white background was ink blended with Stormy sky distress ink using a large ink blending brush and the flowers were coloured with Tombow markers and stickles were added to the centres of the flowers for a touch of sparkle. For each card, the mattes around the image were created by swiping the matchine interference pad around the edges before watercolouring the dragons.
