Inlay technique with Die cuts

Today, I’m sharing an Inlay technique with Die cuts using the Lisa Horton crafts Composotion set C dies. These composition die sets have a variety of different dies and also include an insert that gives you four different card layouts to start with! Ad

Visual Supply list below

All 4 Cards were created using the Compositions die set C -Chevrons and Blooms die set. The first 2 cards use the Chevrons border die set to create a die cut pattern in the background. The second two cards use the pocket to layered dies to create the background pattern. All pieces were create using only black & white cardstock and are coloured using Interference ink pads in Sweet Treat, Fruit Salad and Summer Garden for both colour and fantastic shinmmer.

The white cardstock is ink blended with Hickory smoke distress ink before adding the interference ink and some of the black die cuts are ink blended with the Slow drying white pad before adding the interference inks. This highlights the properties of each ink on both black and white for even more wow.

The different die cuts are inlayed to create the unique backgrounds before adding the Florals and Foliage on the fronts of the cards to create a focal point.
