Holiday Accordion Card Luminary

Holiday Accordion Card Luminary

Today, I’m creating a Holiday Accordion Card Luminary using the New Timeless trees collection from Spellbinders and Simon Hurley as well as a couple of his Snowglobe dies from last year. These combine together to create a fun Accordion card that folds flat to fit into an envelope and is also a Holiday Luminary! Ad

Visual Supply List below.

The die cuts to create the scene are from the Mantle Decorations, Mantle Village, Whimsical bottle brush trees, Simons Snowglobe and Snowman scene die sets. They are die cut and assembled before creating the card base. The colour sceme is kept fairly limited using Spellbinders cardstock in Fern, Forest, Crimson, Black, white and latte with Holographic gold accents from the Inka Gold cardstock pack.

This card uses Vellum and Cardstock to create the Accordion card base. The 2 pieces of vellum are 5″ x 10.5″ and the cardstock is 1 piece that is 3″ x 10.5″ and 1 piece that is 3″ x 12″. Sookwang tape is added to the back of the cardstock strips and the 12″ length is scored at 10/5″ the two cardstock strips are joined together at that 10.5″ score line. Faded Jeans distress ink is ink blended on the top part of the vellum. Once dry, the Sookwang tape on the back of the cardstock is used to adhere the vellum to the cardstock. The long joined strip is then scored every 3 1/2″ to create the Accordion card base. The assembled die cuts are added to the base to create the scene. When standing, battery operated tea lights can be used to create a luminary.
