Today, I’m creating some Happy Haunting Halloween Cards using the New Happy Haunting Collection from Spellbinders. These fun Halloween cards include some irridescent shimmer touches with the help of Cloud 9 interference ink pads. Ad
I combined a couple of the dies from the Happy Haunting collection with a couple older dies & press plates from past collections. For the first card, I used the Woof or Treat die set and created a spider web background with the Spider web background press plate. I used a Cloud 9 interference pad in Regal Grey for the press plate background as well as inking the ghost for a touch of purple irridescent shimmer.
The second card uses the Fiona the Dancin’ witch die set. The dancin’ die sets are an easy way to create an interactive card where the legs swing. The witches dress, hat & shoes are ink blended with the same Regal Grey interference pad as the first card giving that a purple shimmer as well. The Spiderweb background was done with the same Regal Grey interference pad. Because this background is on light cardstock, the Grey dye of the interference pad shows and there is a hint of purple shine when tilted in the light. The background is ink blended with Shaded lilac and Black soot distress ink as well as the Regal grey interference pad before assembling the card.
The Third card uses the Faux Embroidered pumpkin die set. The pumpkins are die cut in 3 different colours and ink blended with Pumpkin Spice and Ripe Mango interference ink pads. Once ink blended the Card uses printed paper from a 6″ Paper Roses Inky colour pad paper as a background.
For the last card, I used the head from Woof or Treat die set and the wings from the Dancin birthday dragon die set to create a bat. The spider web background press plate was used again for the background. It was ink blended with the Pumpkin spice and Regal Grey interference pad. All cards were finished off with Press plate sentiments from the All Seasons Autumn press plate & die set.
