In this video I share How to Get Creative with one die set. This New Fresh picked Daisies die set from Spellbinder is great (especially to people new to die cutting of Card Making) because it easily covers the front of the card and you can create quick cards by just adding a simple sentiment. In this video, I’m sharing several simple ways to take that initial design and easily step it up. Ad
All four cards were created with the New Fresh Picked Daisies die set from Spellbinders. The pieces for all 4 cards were die cut out of the same cardstock colours to make it easy to see the differences between the cards. This is a great die set that is perfect for beginners as it is designed to fill all of the space on the front of a card.
The first card was created with the layout on the packaging. All of the pieces were glued in place with Bearly art glue in a fine tipped bottle.
For the Second card, I used the same layout as the first but added some ink blending to the flower centres and greenery using Distress ink pads and ink blending brushes before assembling the Card.
For the Third card, I also ink blended the pieces but used 2 different shades of each colour so that it gives the die cuts even more dimension. I used all of the same pieces but got creative with the layout on the front of the card and added a layered Thanks sentiment to complete the card.
For the Fourth and final card, I did the same ink blending as card number 3 using 2 different shades of each colour for more visual dimension. The layout is the same as cards 1 & 2 but I used my fingers to curl the flower die cuts and give them more dimension making them pop up off of the card. This last card was also finished off with the layered Thanks die cut. The last addition was some stickles in the flower centres for some sparkle.
