Today, I’m sharing Egg-stra Special Easter cards using Different Techniques to add Dimension & Texture. Interference inks give bright colour and a touch of sparkle to different areas and a faux step feature gives a step card look on a regular A2 card base. Ad
Visual Supply list below.
The first card is created using the Daisy coverplate. The background starts with a piece of 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ hammermill cardstock covered in Scor tape. The Daisy plate is used to cut white cardstock and that is layed over the Score tape before applying glitter to the exposed tape. The glitter is burnished and the Copic and Blender pen is used to colour the flowers. The coverplate is then used to die cut a piece of Rain forest cardstock. It is ink blended with Peeled paint and Forest moss distress ink for colour variation. A sentiment is created and Heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. It is trimmed and added to the front of the card. The centres of the flowers are finished off with Glossy accents for shine.

The next two card use are created using the Happy Easter letterpress & foil & cut plate. The sentiment is foiled using Aura glimmer foil and the Solid egg is foiled with Rainbow foil. The remainder foil is also foiled using a solid hot foil plate. The eggs and sentiment are cut with the die in the set. The background is created using the Birdsong Script cling stamp before ink blending the background and assembling the card.
The next card uses the solid hot foiled sentiment egg as the focal point. A matt is created using Hammer cardstock trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4″. The focal piece is cut to 3 3/4″ x 8 1/2″ and is scored at 5 1/2″, 6 1/2″, 7 1/2″ & 8″. The grass is Peridot and Rain forest cardstock strips die cut with the landscape die set before ink blending with Peeled paint distress and attached to the base. The bunnies were created using the Color my World stamp & cut. The images are stamped and heat embossed on Distress watercolour using Pumice stone distress glaze.. They are then die cut and added to the card.
The fourth card also uses images from the Colour my world set. They are watercoloured using Distress watercolor pencils set 5. The egg is Speckled using the confetti color layering stencil set with Interference inks in Pink sunset, Crushed velvet and Teal twist. Moon dust stickles glitter gel is used on the last layer of the stencils and then left to dry. The sunset pink interference pad is also used to colour the matte around this card.

The last card uses the Spring Tweetings stamp & cut set. The images are created the same as the images from the last card. The eggs are watercoloured with the Interference pads for a touch of added shimmer. After ink blending this card background, it is splattered with water to add some visual texture.
