Today I’m creating a Die cut Birthday card as well as a Valentine card with the Rupert colorize die set. I’m using Interference products for both and affectionately call him Rupert the Interference Dragon. I love the final effect. Interference inks are perfect for this adorable image and would also be perfect for mermaid or fish scales. Ad
To Create Rupert the Interference Dragon, I started with Ranger Cracked Leather cardstock and brayered it with Black soot distress ink to create great texture base before die cutting. After the pieces are die cut, I ink blended some more black for shading the layers. Rupert was assembled with Bearly art glue and once dry I inked one with Magic Garden Interference pad. This Cloud 9 interference ink pad is from Lisa Horton and it shows up Green on white cardstock and has a purple shimmer on black cardstock. On the Second Dragon die cut, I used Simon Hurley Solar paste in Crocodile Tears and Beluga. To turn one dragon into a Valentines card and another into a Birthday card, I used the Seasonal Decor die set from Spellbinders. Rupert is quite large so the Card bases for these cards are 5″ x 7″.
