Creating with the New Christmas release from Lisa Horton Crafts

Today, I’m Creating with the New Christmas release from Lisa Horton Crafts. I love that the Jingle Bells stencil has a coordinating die cut to cut the image and the companion stencil is perfect to place the image in to emboss some detail in the piece. I had fun using my Lisa Horton Interference ink pads along with the Layering stencils. Ad

For the first 2 cards, I’m creating with the Jingle Bells Layer stencil as well as the Jingle Bells 3D Embossing Folder. I worked on the Lisa Horton Crafts Tacky Mat to hold the Cardstock in place as I was stencilling. I used Cloud 9 Interference inks in Opal Blush and Regal Grey along with Distress Ink pads in Tumbled Glass, Hickory Smoke and Black soot to ink blend the detail. Once the image was stencilled, I used the coordinating die from the Stencil set to cut out the Jingle bell image using my Spellbinders Platinum 6 Machine. I embossed white cardstock with the Jingle bells embossing folder for one background and used the Decorative Pearls Embossing folder for the second card. The sentiment is from the Snowflake stencil set that is also used for the remainder of the cards. I used the interference ink pads to ink cardstock for both the die cut sentiments as well as the mats around the card image.

The Second set of Cards is created with the Snowflake stencil set. The Warm winter wishes sentiment is included in that set. To create the snowflakes, I first ink blended with Black Distress ink using the detail stencil and then I used the outline stencil. Each snowflake is create with a different Cloud 9 interference ink pad. For these cards I used: Sapphire Gold, Opal Blush and Regal Grey The snowflake is die cut with the Coordinating die. The 2 embossed backgrounds wre created with the Decorative Pearls and the Padded Quilt embossing folders
