Combine Lunar Paste and Die Cuts to create Unique Embellishments

In this video I’m combining Lunar Paste and Die Cuts to create a unique element for the front of cards, Mixed media or Scrapbook pages. The bright colours in the paste are really brought our by the contrasting colour of the die cuts and have a beautiful pearlescent sheen.

To create both of these cards, I first used a Chrome Precision Base plate to die cut the Butterfly our of Black Mixed media Heavystock in my Big shot machine. This die is very detailed and using the precision plate cuts all of that detail easier and quicker. I covered an area of my Media surface mat with Lunar Paste and then laid down the Butterfly and Anemone die cuts, used a die pick to press the die cuts down and make sure they have good contact with the paste and let it dry. Once dry I cut the dried paste around each of the die cuts with detail cutting scissors. This piece can either be used as an embellishemnt on the front of a card or as the card front as I did with the Butterfly card.
