In this video I use Press Plates with distress Oxides to colour the pressed image. I recently got the New Butterfly Swirl Betterpress plate and die set and knew I wanted to create a bright and colourful card with it. I chose Distress Oxide inks for their chalkiness and the fact that they stay wet a little longer making them easier to blend. Ad
For this card, I ink blended several Oxide ink pad colours before using the Butterfly swirl Press plate in the Betterpress system. The butterflies on the card base were watercoloured with Perfect pearls to mute the colour and add some shimmer. The butterflies were created a second time, ink blended again and die cut to add as dimensional embellishemnts to the card. After assembly they were finished with stickles for some sparkle, and glossy accents added for shine on the butterfly bodies.
