Butterfly Easel Card

Butterfly Easel Card

In this video, I’m creating a Butterfly Easel Card using the New Bayfair Card Making Kit from Spellbinders and the Butterfly Card Creator die set. The Card making kit makes it easy to create with because all of the elements co-ordinate together! Ad

I rarely use Printed Papers when Card Making. I love that the New Bayfair Line by Rosies Studio release from Spellbinders includes a co-ordinating Floral Spray die set. The Bayfair Card Makers kit includes a 6″ printed paper pad, a package of Puffy Stickers, a package of chipboard stickers and a package of Button Embellishments. There is also a package Spellbinders Cardstock that coordinates with all of the Beautiful printed papers in the kits.

For the Card Base, I used the Butterfly Card Creator die set and a full 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of Dahlia Cardstock scored at 5 1/2″ and 8 1/2″. I folded the cardstock at the 5 1/2″ line and placed the larger of the 2 butterflies in the die set along the folded edge with the outer edge of the cutting die just over that folded edge so it would stay together for the card base. I also used remaining 1 1/2″ strips of that dahlia cardstock to cut out the bottom of the die set and glue inside of the card to create a ledge for the easel to sit against. Once the card front was assembled with the various die cuts, I attached it to the card base using the liquid glue, only on the bottom portion of the scored card front. The card was finished off with a touch of Glisten stickles for some sparkle.
