Adding Chameleon Mica powder to your Watercolour Images

Adding Chameleon Mica powder to your Watercolour Images

In this video, I’m Adding Chameleon Mica powder to my Watercolour Images. The Chameleon Mica Powders add a beautiful Shimmer layer that gives it some extra texture. This could also be done with Perfect Pearls, but I love the different colours available with the Chameleon Mica Powders. Ad

I love these Jumbo Floral stamps and haven’t played with them for a while so I pulled out the Jumbo Hydrangea stamp as well as the Jumbo Poppy stamp to Watercolour. Both Images were stamped on Distress watercolor cardstock with Versamark ink using the Misti Stamping tool. The poppy was Heat embossed with Black Embossing powder and the Hydrangea was embossed with White Embossing powder. Both images were watercoloured with various distress ink refills. Once the images were watercoloured with distress refills, I added Chameleon Mica powder watercolours to parts of to add shimmer and texture. The Chameleon mica powders need to be mixed with Gum arabic to be able to be used for watercolouring. I used 4 parts mica powder to 1 part Gum Arabic as directed on the Gum Arabic container. Once the watercolour images have dried, I trimmed them and used Copic Markers to add a “faux mat”. The watercolour images were glued to the Card Base with Bearly art Glue. Simple die cut sentiments were added to the card fronts. The Friend die cut is from the Anemone Glimmer blooms set and the Thanks sentiment is from the Yanas Layered Script Sentiments die set.
