Embossing Powder Painting

Embossing Powder Painting

Today, I’m sharing Embossing Powder Painting on a Light up card using Wow Embossing powder with a Pear Blossom Press One light. This card is part of a Pear Blossom Press & Wow Embossing powder Instagram collaboration. The embossing powder in the Mermaid lagoon collection is perfect for coastal creations and pairing the background with a light up card creates a unique combination. Ad

The card is created using the Lighthouse Window and Infinity ovals from Hero Arts. The oval background is inked with Wow Embossing ink and a variety of Wow Embossing powders are sprinkled over the background to create the scene. The sky is created first and then the water. The Light house window frameis die cut from Onyx Mirror cardstock. Once the background is embossed, the Frame is glued to the surface. A matte is created for the card with Moonlit marina embossing powder added to the edges to frame. The oval is added to the Matte. A hole is pierced in the lighthouse to create a window. A Pear Blossom Press One light is adhered to the back. A “Press here” button is created using the Pear Blossom Press stamp & die set. It is glued above the One light button. Foam tape is added to the back to mount it onto the A2 card base.
