Before creating cards, I wanted to get familiar with the colours in the New William Morris Matte Blending pad line, So I blended all of the colours onto a piece of 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Hammermill cardstock. After Blending, The large background is splattered with water and then dried and then Splattered with Sparkle Splatter effects for beautiful shimmer. The background is cut in half and one half is also splattered with Raven Splatter effects. The Butterfly Silhouettes press plate & die set is used with the Betterpress system to Heat emboss the Butterflies and Sentiments with black & silver embossing powder.
The first background is stencilled with a couple stencils from the stencil deck using Matte blending inks. The Matte is inked with Silver shine metallic ink to coordinated with the embossed accents & splatter.

The second card uses the rings stencil from the stencil deck to add more pattern to the background. This card has a black matte as wekk as using the Black embossed Butterfly and sentiments to coordinate with the Raven Splatter effects.
The third card uses the Meadow of Sweet Peas Embossing folder and coordinating layering stencil set to create the background. The cloud stencil is used on the background with water to add the cloud to the sky. This card is finished off with an ink blended butterfly as well as the sentiments.

The fourth card uses the Arty Daisy Embossing folder and coordinating stencil set. Stickles are added to the flower centre for additional sparkle and texture.
