Today, I’m sharing an Easy Slider card Idea for National Chip & Dip week using the Chip Chip Hooray set from Pajama Crafter Stamps. This card features a fussy cut Chip “diving” into the dip bowl. The card base for this card is 5″ x 7″ giving the chip lots of room to “dive” into the dip. The upper layer of the card front is trimmed to 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″. The image on the bottom and sentiment are stamped using black memento ink and the fussy cut chip is stamped onto a scrap of hammermill cardstock with memento ink. The images are coloured with copic markers. after the chips are coloured and before the bowl is coloured, blender solution is put onto a rough cloth and blotted onto the chips to add visual texture. The chip is fussy cut using detail scissors. The outer edges are lightly ink blended with Vintage Photo distress ink.
The channel is cut using the straight and curved like to move it die set. Two snap ‘n spins are used to attach the chip in the channel allowing it to slide in the channel with control. Thick foam tap is added to the underside and the card top is added to the 5″ x 7″ card base. The secondary sentiment is stamped onto another scrap of hammermill cardstock and then trimmed. The R37 copic marker is used to add the red edge to that sentiment before adding it to the card front giving the chip a base to “stand” on before diving.
