Classic Pooh Kanga & Roo baby cards

Classic Pooh Kanga & Roo baby cards

Today, I’m sharing Classic Pooh Kanga & Roo baby cards using the New Classic Pooh Baby collection from Spellbinders. These cards have a more vintage look with Distress ink blending aroung the edges. Kanga & Roo are created using Velvet cardstock for a soft feel and the Pram card is interactive and rocks back & forth! Ad

Before creating cards, The Sweet sentiments and Hundred Acre wood press plates were used in the Betterpress system to heat emboss the sentiments and background images onto Hammermill cardstock with Vintage photo distress glaze. The sentiments are then die cut with the coordinating die set and set aside. The Hundred acre wood image is quickly coloured with Tombow markers before tearing and ink blending the edges. The card is assembled and a pressed sentiment is ink blended and then added to the front of the card.

The Next two cards focus on the Classic Pooh Baby Blocks Embossing folder. The bakcground of the second card is inked and embossed at the same time with vinate photo distress ink before trimming and inking the embossed surface with Spun sugar distress ink before assembling the card.

The third card uses punched 1″ squares to emboss creating “blocks”. The Ribbon & Trim set is used with Acorn cardstock to create a “shelf” before assembling the cards.

The fourth card uses that embossing folder as a simple background for Kanga & Roo. The Canka & Roo die set is used with Velvet adhesive cardstock before assembling and adding to the front of the card.

The last card uses the pram from the Baby Accessories die set to create the Pram element. A Pendulum mechanism is created using a Snap ‘N Spin with a washer as a weight. Foam tape is added to the back of the embossed piece to allow space for the pendulum to swing.
