Before creating cards, Backgrounds were created using Vicorian Bouquet Magicals on Distress Mixed Media heavystock and allowed to dry overnight.
The Butterfly Splatter and Grungy background press plates were used in the Glimmer system to hot foil the images and sentiments on Hammermill cardstock with Prism Glimmer foil. They were then used in the betterpress system to heat emboss with clear embossing powder. The sentiments were embossed with Black embossing powder on White cardstock and White embossing powder on Raven carstock before die cutting and trimming.
For the first card, the magicals background with the Butterfly splatter embossed image is covered with Black Soot distress ink before wiping the excess off using paper towel andassembling the card.

The second card uses the Prism glimmer foiled image of Butterfly splatter. Magicals are tapped on the background and and then misted with water, removing the excess with paper towel and allowed to dry. Once dry, the background is ink blended with Worn lipstick distress ink before assembling the card and adding a foiled sentiment.
The third card uses the Clear embossed Grungy background on the Magicals. The pieces is trimmed with the guillotine trimmer before ink blending Black Soot distress ink around the edges, The card is finished with a heat embossed sentiment and die cut threads from the Tangled threads die set.

The fourth card uses the Distress Mix embossing folder to emboss one of the Magicals backgrounds. Black Soot distress ink is then rubbed on the raised surfave. Half a Butterfly die cut from the Peacock Butterfly die set is used on this card as well as the rest of the cards. This card is finished off with a Foiled sentiment.
The fifth card uses the Crackle paint embossing folder on another Magicals background. The background is taped to the folder with Best ever craft tape. The opposite side of the folder is inked with Black soot distress ink to accentuate the cracks. The card is assembled with Half a Peacock Butterfly and a foiled sentiment as well as zigzag stitch die cuts using some of the Solid hot foiled Prism cardstock.
The sixth card uses the Deckle Edge script die set with Raven cardstock as well as a Magicals background for the card background. This card is finished off with half a Peacock Butterfly and a black heat embossed sentiment.

The seventh card uses the Foiled and Negative foiled Grungy background pieces. The tattered Stripes stencil set is used to add stripes to the background around the Half Butterfly. The card is finished with a White heat embossed sentiment as well as black die cut zigzag stitches.
