Die Cut Christmas Card Making

Today, I’m sharing Die Cut Christmas Card Making using Simon Hurley North Pole Friends collection from Spellbinders. These die cut cards have a lot of texture & detail. More texture is added by using velvet, glitter and metallic cardstock adding to the Holiday feel! Ad

The first card uses the Polar Bear Pals die set with white velvet cardstock to create the base of the bears. Extra texture is added by using Glitter cardstock from the Antique white treasured cardstock pack for the trim on the Toques & sweater. The background is created using the Sparkling snow embossing folder inked with Tumbled glass distress ink. The sentiments added to all the cards are from the North Pole sentiments set.

The second card is created using the North pole Sentiments die set. The snowmen were createdusing Glitter cardstock from the Antique white treasured cardstock pack. The snowflake background is created using the Snowfall shimmer press plate heat embossed with Silver embossing powder and ink blended with Tumbled Glass distress ink.

The third card uses the Santas Elves die set. Extra texture is added using gold treaured cardstock for the bow on the gift and the belt buckle. Antique white glitter cardstock is used for the top detail layer of the candy cane. The background is created with the Sprinkled confetti press plate heat embossed in white and ink blended with Tumbled glass distress ink.

The fourth card is created with The Clauses die set. Santas clothes and sack were created with velvet cardstock and his belt and boots were die cut from Mirror cardstock from the Onyx treasured cardstock pack. His Beard and trim were die cut from Antique white glitter cardstock. The background is embossed with the Argyle plaid Embossing folder.
