Today, I’m sharing Flying Kite Cards using the NEW Skys the Limit collection from Simon Hurley & Spellbinders. This is such a fun collection with a Kite theme and is perfect for creating cards FULL of colour! I love how perfect the press plate sentiments are for any card you could want with this theme! Ad
Visual Supply list below.
The first card is created using the Flying Kites layering stencil with Black soot and Hickory smoke distress inks first and then stencilling with Interference ink pads in Summer Garden, Sweet Treat and Pink Champagne. The Stencilled pieces is embossed with the coordinating Flying Kites 3D Embossing folder for extra texture and dimension. The Betterpress system is used with the Soaring Sentiments Press plate set for all cards.
The Embossing folder is also used to create simple but embossed backgrounds for the second and third cards as well. The secong card pairs that embossed background with a single Kite die cut framed in using the Tunnel clouds die set before assembling the card and adding the sentiment.

The third uses the 3 different kite designs on that embossed background. For a little extra visual dimension on the kites, the interference inks are stencilled onto the die cut kites using one of the laying stencils for a little extra interest.
