Striking musical Cards

Striking musical Cards

Today, I’m creating Striking musical Cards using the Musical Embossing Folder and stencil set from Lisa Horton Crafts. I wanted the focal point to be the guitar and my guitar playing hubby loves bright green so I chose that colour for the guitar and sentiment and kept the background a variety of grey tones. Ad

Both cards were created using the Musical Embossing folder and layering stencil set from Lisa Horton Crafts. For these cards, I tested to see if there is a difference in the outcome if the Hammermill cardstock was embossed first and then stencilled or if it was better to stencil and then emboss. For the background of both cards, the backgound was stencilled using Cobble stones Matt blending pads with some of the darker areas blended using Anthracite Matt blending ink. The Guitar is stencilled using Margarita Matt blending ink with some of the shading and details being done with Magiuc Garden Interference ink as well as Silver Shine Metallic ink. The cards were finished off with an ink blended “awesome” and “thanks” sentiment from the So Awesome and Best Wishes & Thanks XL die sets.
