Today, I’m creating Sweet Pea Cards using the New Sweet Peas Layer Stencils & Embossing folder from Lisa Horton Crafts. I create 2 different cards using the Cloud 9 interference ink pads and 2 cards using the Cloud 9 Matt Blending ink pads. Ad
Visual Supply List below.
All of the cards created use the New Meadow of Sweet Peas Layerin Stencil set as well as the Meadow of Sweet Peas Embossing folder. I used the Tacky mat to hold my Hammermill cardstock in place while stencilling.
The first card uses cloud 9 Matt Blending ink pads in Garden Sage and Loganberry. Moondust stickles glitter gel was used on the last detail layer for a little sparkle. Once assembled, the card is finished with a Hello sentiment from the A little Hello sentiments stamp & die set.
The second card uses Black soot distress ink as well as Interference ink pads in Opal Blush and Summer garden. The black soot ink is used to ink blend the shading on the different areas before wiping off the stencil with a microfibre cloth and ink blending with the Interference ink. Once dry, the stencilled image is embossed and the card is assembled with another sentiment from the A little Hello Sentiments stamp & die set.
The third card uses Cloud 9 Matt Blending inks to ink blend the background in Garden Sage, Margarita, Sugar Candy, Rhubarb Jam, Spiced Plum and Surf’s Up before using the layering stencils to colour the Sweet Pea Silhouettes in Anthracite. The last detail layer of the layering stencils is done in Moondust Stickles glitter gel for sparkle & texture. After dry, the card is Embossed and assembled and the Thanks sentiment is added from the Best Wishes & Thanks XL Sentiments die set. The white Thanks layer is finished off with stickles for more sparkle.
The last card uses black soot distress ink to ink blend all of the layers of the Sweet pea stencil set. Interference ink pads in Summer Garden, Tropical Paradise, Lavender Field and Opal blush are used on the background to create the sky and splatters are added using Night Sky interference ink and a touch of water. Once dry, the card is embossed and assembled and the So Kind die cut is ink blended with Lavender Field interference ink before being added to the finished card.
