In this video, I’m creating More Fresh picked Daisies cards. I’ve already done a video with this die set and it is linked at the end of this video. In this on, I’m using the Fresh picked Daisies die set again with only white cardstock and using different mediums to colour and enhance it. I’m creating 4 different cards, and while the fourth one could be assembled with the embellishments on the front of the Card, I was inspired by a recent video of Jennifer McGuires where she created a simple pop-up feature to take the card to the next level. I love finding ways to use the same die set to create different looks. The more ways to use a die set (or other craft supply) the more value it has. I used the Fresh picked Daisies die set for all of the cards and also used White cardstock for all of the Card bases and die cuts. I die cut all of the die cuts using my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine and added them to the front of the A2 card base with Bearly Art Glue in a fine tipped bottle for 3 of the cards.
For the first card, I used several different colours of Solar paste and applied it to the top of the die cuts with my fingers. Solar paste looks different depending on the lightness or darkness of the background. On a light background it creates a subtle opalescent appearance. This card was finished off with a layered Happy Birthday Sentiment also embellished with Solar paste. The centres of the flowers were embellished with dots of Twinkle stickles for some sparkle.
For the second card, I applied Mined foundry wax with a collage brush to add metallic accents to the die cuts on the card front. A Heat tool was used to bring the leafing properties from the foundry wax to the surface. A sentiment from the Propagation Garden sentiments stamp set was stamped with versamark ink and embossed with Rose gold embossing powder. It was die cut with a coordinating die from the set and added to the front of the card. The centres of the flowers for this card was finished off with dots of Glisten stickles.
For the Third Card, I added ink to the die cuts before adding them to the front of the card. I used black distress ink and ink blended around the outer edges of the flowers and flower centres and then on the bottom of the greenery. Then I put the die cuts on a Grip mat and used Cloud 9 interference inks in Teal Twist, Sweet Treat and Summer Garden to add colour to the die cuts before glueing them to the front of the card. A sentiment from the Propagation Garden sentiments stamp set was stamped, die cut and then coloured with Sweet treat interference ink before adding to the front of the card. Stardust stickles were added to the centres of the flowers for this card.
For the Fourth card, I glued white die cuts to the card base at the same time as I did for the first 2 cards. I die cut extra die cuts and coloured them the same way as I did for card 3 but swapped the Teal twist ink pad for the Tropical Paradise pad to change the colours of the flowers for this card. 2 different sizes of mirrored arch labels dies were used to create the window in the front of the card as well as the layered die cut centre that the sentiment from the Propagation garden sentiments set is stamped on. I used one of the dies from the Laboratory Glassware die set to create the vase for the flowers. I added glossy accents to the water part of the vase for some shine and Stardust stickles to the flower centres for some sparkle.
