In this video I’m sharing how to Create a Scene with Die cuts. I’m using a single die set for the pieces used to create this scene, but you can also used dies from different die sets to create with and make a scene. Ad
I love using die cuts and assembling them together to create a scene. For this card I used the dies from the Backyard Haven View die set to create a scene on top of some layered Essential Arches die cuts to create a Scene for my card front. These dies are perfect for using up cardstock scraps. Inking them up with various Distress Inks and ink blending brushes is a simple way to give the die cuts extra interest and visual dimension. I used a Grip mat to hold the different die cut pieces while ink blending around the edges. While assembling, I added foam pop dots behind some to add even more dimension. I also added Glossy accents to the water in the bird bath and a dot or stickles in the centres of the flowers for additional texture. I didn’t add a sentiment to this card but you could stamp one below the die cut scene on the front of the card or on the inside of the card to complete it.
