The Spellbinders House Mouse Winter Collection Launches today! There are 4 adorable stamp sets in this collection. Spellbinders Paper Arts sent me these 4 stamp sets to create with and share with you. I’ve created a Card with each stamp in the collection and have YouTube videos sharing the making of each one going live on different days this week. Those days and times are detailed below with pictures of each card. Here are the 4 stamps in the new House Mouse Winter collection. Ad
These images in the House Mouse Winter Collection are perfect for Creating Winter and Valentines cards. I love how each stamp set also includes appropriate sentiments to go with the image. Each card I’ve created with these stamps are done with a different medium. The First Video is live and can be found Here. In it I’m using the House Mouse Candy Hearts stamp set with paint markers. These markers are very easy to use to colour stamps but they are opaque and will cover the stamp details and I show you how to easily get those details back once the image is coloured.
The Second card created with this collection uses the Snuggle Up Stamp set. This image with the Mice Snuggling up using a leaf just might just be my favourite! It is watercoloured using several different mediums that create different finishes for visual texture on the image. I’ve also added sparkle texture paste for the snow that creates a resist for the watercolour. The video for this card will go live on my YouTube channel tomorrow Monday December 11 at 1pm PST.
The Third Card uses the We Heart You stamp to create 3 different panels for a Tri-fold Card. We tend to not really do Valentines in our house so I love that one of the Sentiments in the set is a Thinking of You sentiment making it perfect to use anytime. I masked off different areas of the stamp while stamping so that I could use a Spellbinders Rectangle die to cut it for the 3 different panels. The Images were coloured with Copic markers and the little I Heart U suckers have Glossy Accents on top giving them some shine and dimension. The video for this card will go live Wednesday December 13 at 1pm PST.
The Last card uses the House Mouse Knit One Cling stamp. I used dye based markers to watercolour this one. Using water based markers is a perfect way for anyone to try out watercolouring before buying a bunch of watercolour paints. I’m using Tombow markers but any dye based markers will work for this and it is simple to do! Once I was done, I added some texture with a Spellbinders Cable Knit stencil and grit paste snowfall. The result is subtle but gives it nice texture with a touch of sparkle that doesn’t take any attention away from the adorable image. I have pics of the card before the texture and after below. The video for this card will go live Friday December 15 at 1pm PST.
